	This is the foregut of an embryonic mouse stained to reveal the expression of E-cadherin in the endoderm-derived epithelium. Anterior is to the left. Many organs derived from foregut initially form epithelial "buds". This includes the thyroid, lungs, stomach, liver, and pancreas.
